Celebrating Cultural Excellence: Jak Bjornstrom Named Finalist in Cultural Impact Awards

Cardiff, Wales – The Welsh arts community is set to celebrate one of its most dedicated and innovative figures. Jak Bjornstrom, the esteemed Creative Director at Galwad, has been named a finalist in the 2025 Cultural Impact Awards, an accolade that highlights the remarkable contributions of individuals and organisations within the Welsh cultural scene.

Supported by Tempo Time Credits, Ffilm Cymru Wales, and Porters Cardiff, the Cultural Impact Awards honour those who significantly enrich the cultural fabric of Wales. Two weeks ago, a panel of peers from the Welsh arts community reviewed an impressive array of nominations to curate this year’s long and shortlists.

Jak Bjornstrom’s nomination in the Cultural Champion category, sponsored by Tempo Time Credits, places him alongside other notable finalists: Debbie Webster, Chair of the Board at Theatr na nÓg, and Sara Sirati from Ardour Academy. The announcement from Get the Chance emphasised the high quality of nominations, making the selection process a challenging task. Congratulations were extended to all those who made the shortlist.

The live awards event will take place at Porters, Cardiff, on Saturday, 22 March, from 5-7 PM, promising to be a celebration of cultural excellence and the positive impact of the arts on the quality of life in Wales.
